Infrastructure

 

Sputtering systems for DC and  HiPIMS operation: Teer coating UDP 650/4, Hartec prototype system, custom-made system with 2 facing targets, Cyprium power supply (HiPIMS, Zpulser).

Laboratory for tribological and mechanical coating testing: Scratch tester (Revetest, Csem), Pin-on-disk with temperature and ambient control, Nanoindenter (Nanotest, Micromaterials) and reciprocating sliding or fretting conditions testing.

Laboratory for microstructural coating characterization: HR field emission SEM (EDS, WDS and STEM), AFM, EPMA (Cameca SX 50), TEM (Tecnai G2 200kV), 2 x XRD (High resolution and stress) and micro-Raman spectroscopy.
